BREEDERREADY GUIDE · ENGLAND & WALES
Dog breeder record keeping that fits your daily routine.
A useful record should be easy to enter, easy to find and clear when you need to explain what happened. Keep each entry tied to the right dog, litter, puppy or customer.
Keep animal and care information together
Start with your dogs and litters, then link puppy information to the correct litter. Record dates and identifying details consistently so that similar names or multiple litters do not make the history confusing.
BreederReady brings together dog and litter details, puppy health information, daily care logs and recurring tasks. A task reminder helps you remember work; a completed care record documents what you entered.
Record a litter’s puppy weights together
Weighing several puppies should not mean opening a separate form for each one. In BreederReady, choose the litter, select the puppies, enter each weight in grams and save the selected entries together for one date.
Optional notes let you add context. Existing entries for the same puppy and date are flagged so the batch form does not silently overwrite them. Weight history and graphs help you see the records over time; they do not replace veterinary assessment.
Link buyers and sale paperwork
Keep enquiries, reservations and completed sales organised in customer records. Link the buyer to their puppy so invoices and purchase contract drafts can use the relevant details.
Invoice history shows the total, payments recorded and remaining balance. Recording a payment documents money received; it does not collect money from the buyer. Download corrected paperwork after editing, because copies already sent do not change.
Keep copies you can use outside the workspace
Filter and export your care log as CSV, download invoices and contracts, and keep a data backup from Settings. Evidence attachments need to be downloaded separately from the data backup.
Check your licence conditions for the records and retention periods that apply to you. The workspace helps organise information but cannot check that every required entry has been made.
Records access and pricing
Logs & records costs £14.99 per month. Licence preparation is a separate £69.99 add-on for 12 months. After records editing access ends, existing saved work remains available to view, print and export while the service operates.
Check the guidance for your area
England and Wales have different licensing frameworks. Confirm the application process, licence conditions and evidence needed with your own local authority.
